We re-finalized our adoption yesterday. When the judge asked the two adults to raise their right hands and asked, "Do you both swear or affirm...," Nina looked at each of us, then very solemnly raised her right hand too. The judge was impressive. Without missing a beat, he said to her, "And you too," then continued to swear us in.

We are now recognized as a family in all 50 states. Woo hoo!
