Ying Ying has been in the family room in our basement to watch t.v. with us four times in the last two weeks. The first time she was there, we put the Disney film "Mulan" in the DVD player. We knew the plot was beyond her English comprehension but thought the animation might intrigue her. No such luck. She wasn't the slightest bit interested. On New Year's Day, she came downstairs with us after her nap for the end of the Rose Bowl Game. Her eyes were glued to the screen. Monday night, she was downstairs for the Ohio State game (sorry Buckeye fans) and again her eyes were glued to the screen. Tonight, she watched the last few minutes of the BCS title game. Again, she seemed really interested, and she really perked up when they showed the marching band. I think we have another college football fan in our family.

Ying Ying is a very smart little girl...nothing better than college football...well except baseball of course. The true test...will she be a Mariners fan?! ~Janine
