Just a quick note to let you know that things went pretty well at the doctor on Monday. As expected, we were told that Ying Ying is significantly underweight, but we learned that she has made the bottom line of the growth chart for height and head circumference. Yea! She got a whole bunch of shots and quite a bit of blood drawn for various tests. We won't have those results for a couple of weeks. There were tears and cries of anger/pain during all of the needle sticks, but her smile returned fairly quickly after it was over.

Happily, Ying Ying's appetite has returned after her fever last week, and she seems to be adjusting to the variety of foods we feed her. We've gone out for Chinese food five or six times since we returned from China two weeks ago so she is getting some familiar tastes along with many of the things we usually eat in our house. Our first attempt with Kraft Mac and Cheese was a success I'm happy to report!
