Good news. We just got a call from our guide and everything went fine at the Consulate. We have a visa for Ying Ying and will be flying home Wednesday as scheduled. Yea!
We just did the Benadryl experiment on Ying Ying to see if it would make her nutty or sleepy. After 45 minutes she was laughing and playing more crazily than we have seen her so far, and after 90 minutes she was sacked out in her crib. We haven't decided what to do about the plane trip. We have a 4 hour flight to Tokyo, a 1 1/2 hour layover, and an 8 1/2 hour flight to Seattle.
I've tried several times to attach a few pictures from our lunch on Saturday and have been unsuccessful. Sorry. I'll try again tonight or tomorrow.

Glad to hear the consulate went well. Hope Ying Ying likes snow! We have plenty of it here for her.
